Welcome to the 4th/5th multi-age classroom.  Students stay with me for two years.  One year the students work on fourth grade content and the other year they work on fifth grade content.                                                       

 The 2008-2009 school year will be a great one.  We will be working on fourth grade content which includes U.S. regions, Colorado Studies, rocks and minerals, and space exploration.  We will also explore special units using William and Mary materials.

Planners need to be signed nightly. 

Math parents please check the planner nightly for homework and sign the planner nightly.

This week in...

 Language Arts: parts of speech, memorize subject & object pronouns (quiz this week), narrative writing, realistic/historical novels & story elements

Social Studies: current events & election news, finish fact finding on Northeast region of the U.S., test over region on Friday (look under social studies link for what you need to know for the test)

Science: bones, joints,& muscles investigations

Math: fact practice with addition & subtraction; explore the relationships between multiplication, division, & fractions; estimating distances; solving number stories; go over unit 2 tests-goals for areas of need
