Welcome to Mr.Curry's classroom.  In K-5 art we concentrate on covering all the curriculum in an motivating , effective and fun way.

Many Sandburg Students' art work will be  displayed in a special art show from October 2 to October 31 at the Depot Art Center and Gallery in downtown Littleton.  Maps are available in the front office.  Congratulations to Brooklyn M., Olivia G., Grace P., Sammy W., Erik B., Katie B., Amelia C., (all 4/5), Darian B. 3T, Murielle H. 1J., Jonathan A. 1/2, Riley N., Doug G., Aiden C., Anna B.,  Hannah S. , Abi D.(all 4S), Natalie S., Natalie K.,  Brian Z., Carter D., Grace Y., Peter S., Seneca H. (all 4D).  All these are displayed in the Caboose.  There are 4 baskets displayed in the Depot by Rebecca H., and Dane C. (5C), Kristen M. 5W, and Josh D.(5M).  Hours:  Wednesday to Saturday 11:00a.m. to 4:00 P.M. 

Thanks to P.T.O. President Carrie Warren-Gully and the Museum of Nature and Science we will have a stuffed fox and a stuffed beaver in the art room for October and November.  We will also have a couple of smaller stuffed animals, perhaps a marmot.  They will be for the 4th grade study of Colorado wildlife.  The 4th grade wil use a variety of media to express their artistic vision of these amazing creatures.

Joan Hitchens,experienced Arapahoe H.S. art teacher, has taught art out at her home for many     years.  She is legendary status and many Sandburg students have taken her classes over the years and most of them go year after year.  K-12 attend.  303-771-3215 or see Mr. Curry for a flyer.
